I am into the third week of my second
round of P90X. I am doing it with Ken Gambles 18 year old son Adam.
I have intensified my training as I
am preparing for the Duncan Shield Canoe
Race July 31st. I am paddling twice a week in the pool at the Y. Weights for
paddlers once a week, and a 4 kilometer run/walk once a week.
Ken and I are about to start the RevAbs program and we took the fit test for it
last week.

================================
We had a lot of snow fall in the past
couple of days, assuring us that we will have a very White Christmas,
We are entering the last 10 days of the P90X course, and I have to admit, we
have really done very well. We may have missed 3 days in total.
We are looking forward to starting a
different program January 1st. Stay tuned and we I will let you know shortly
what we will be doing.

=========================
Yesterday, Ken and I started our 8th
week of P90X. We are right on track with the whole program, and there are
changes taking place that we can notice. Even Yoga X is becoming a little bit
easier.
I achieved Emerald Status earlier
this month, and I have started to receive Team Cycle bonus commissions every
week. Ken is about to become Emerald this coming week. Troy Reynolds who I
personally sponsored in New York became Emerald today.
We have all started daily Shakeology
drinks, and we have good things to say about that. Check out my new Shakeology
website at http://shakeology.com/coachjohnduncan

====================================
It is midnight...cool ..... and the streets are wet and barren of activity.
Today I did one 20 minute session of Slim-in-6 with Helene, and the 1 hour P90X
Extreme Chest and Back workout along with my good friend Ken Gamble
So, tonight I had so much energy, I just had to go for a 25 minute 3 mile 1/3 -
4 mph walk/1/3 - 5mph brisk walk/1/3 - 8 mph jog! That's right - I was
actually running!!!
Like most people, When the endorphins are pumping through my head I can be quite
creative.
Here is my thought for the day.
I started the P90X at 67 years of age.
Each week of the 90 day Tony Horton's P90X program will make my body 3 years
younger.
When I finish the P90X program I will have the body of a 30 year old.
Think I will stop there? No way.
Look out Shaun T - I am going to show you what "Insanity" is all about.
I am 67 years old and have
been in poor physical shape all my adult life. I worked for 40 years behind
a desk. My health has been complicated by the fact I am an insulin dependent
diabetic with high blood pressure and I am more than 25 pounds overweight
with limited muscle strength.
Having said that, I have some very positive progress I’d like to share with
you.
My wife and life partner, Helene, excels in preparing great nutritious and
balanced meals. We have eliminated processed foods from our diet and make
all our meals from scratch. It really is not that hard to do, especially
when we have a little time as we are semi-retired. We do not drink soft
drinks and we watch our salt intake carefully. We stopped smoking and
drinking more than 10 years ago.
Two years ago I was 250 pounds,70 pounds overweight. I have since lost more
than 40 pounds....so I am more than half way to my goal weight of 180.
I am in preparation to start the P90X program on Oct 1st, 2009.
According to the Fit Test I would barely qualify to start the program right
now.
I can do 7 push-ups, but only a 1/4 chin-up. It is really hard to lift 210
pounds.
Until recently, and over the past two years, I was exercising around 400
calories a day
I learned that each P90X work-out burns in the neighborhood of 600 calories.
In anticipation of this I have upped my exercise regime and now I work out
to about 800 calories a day. I figure that if I do that for six weeks, the
P90X program will be a snap.
I walk 3-5 miles a day and have a light weight-lifting workout. I have also
started to cycle 6-8 miles every other day at 10 miles an hour..
I am reviewing each of the 12 CDs, trying out the exercises and learning
what is required to to keep pace. I have a work out partner, CoachKenGamble,
and together we study 2 workouts a week; so in 6 weeks we will have learned
all 12 and be ready to
go!.
Taking the time to familiarize myself with the work-outs and upping my
exercise to 800 calories is my way of preparing my body and building my
personal self-confidence. I wish to eliminate the possibility of failure and
the experience of guilt
and disappointment that may accompany any setbacks along the way.
Helene and I love to travel and the Beach Body Business opportunity fits us
perfectly We can keep fit and have an income doing so.
We spent the last 27 years in the computer industry, building and selling
thousands of computers to all kinds of people.
We were busy, but due to the competitive nature of the computer business we
did not make enough money to retire on.
One thing though, we always provided a lot of "one-on-one" personal support
and coaching to our computer customers. And boy, was coaching ever needed in
the early days of the personal computer business.
One day we found a way to help us retire and still enjoy a modest lifestyle.
It is called eBay. Today we sell surveillance cameras all over the world. We
do this under the name DuncansOnline. And in doing this, once again we find
ourselves coaching people every day..
Our computer background enables us to help others use our surveillance
products in conjunction with the Internet. They watch their homes from their
offices, and vice versa.
Years ago we had network marketing experience. We became familiar with how
someone can succeed by helping others, working closely with people, building
a Team.
While we are not experienced physical fitness trainers we are still able to
set an example for others as we transform our own bodies and our state of
health embracing the superb Beach Body programs.
And we think that is a story in itself. As senior citizens, we want to be at
the forefront of the fastest growing segment of the population, the elderly,
in terms of our physical activity and well being.
We believe we have the ability to build a very successful Beach Body team.
And not just of elderly people. We want to share our lifetime of experience
with young people.
We pledge to work long, hard and diligently to help and coach young and old
alike to be successful at both the Beach Body health programs and the Beach
Body business opportunity.

After I complete the P90X
program, I plan to do the Shaun T Insanity program
